Indian Overseas Bank announced recruitment of 500 General Banking Officers in Scale-I (Probationary Officers) on 28 March 2012. The recruitment process of the bank will start from 30 March 2012 and will end on 19 April 2012. The interview will be tentatively held in the month of May/ june 2012.
Candidates who have completed their graduation with 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized University (55% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) and possess a valid IBPS Score can apply for the post. The Total Weighted Score (TWS) required from General Category candidates is 120 and score for Reserved Category (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) candidates is 105.
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) was established in 1937 by Shri M Ct M Chidambaram Chettyar to encourage overseas banking and foreign exchange operations. The bank is based in Chennai (Madras) with 2555 domestic branches and six branches overseas.
