Indian Rare Earths Ltd (IREL) is a ‘Miniratna’ Category - I Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy. It is the industry leader in the area of Beach Sand Minerals like ilmenite, rutile (titanium ores), zircon, monazite, sillimanite, etc., and producer of rare earths (Lanthanides) chemicals, thorium nitrate etc.
IREL notified recruitment for filling up 79 various vacancies on regular basis in the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pay scale at its Corporate Office, Mumbai and in its units at Aluva / Chavara in Kerala, Manavalakurichi in Tamil Nadu and Chatrapur in Odisha. Interested eligible candidates can apply through prescribed application form till 20 November 2012.

• Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC-NCL Candidates, by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. For Persons with Disabilities (PWD), upper age limit is further relaxed by 5 years -- over and above the relaxation admissible to PWD candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC-NCL categories.
• Relaxation in age to Ex-Servicemen /Commissioned Officers / ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years of Defence Service and have been released on completion of assignment will be extended as per rules.
Allowances and Benefits:
In addition to Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Non-practicing Allowance (for Medical discipline), Perks and Allowances such as Conveyance Allowance, Professional Development Allowance, Uniform Up-keeping allowance, Festival Allowance, Reimbursement of cost of medicine for Domiciliary treatment, Leave Travel Allowance, etc., will be paid and benefits such as EPF, Gratuity, Superannuation contribution, Medical Assistance, Group Insurance, Post-retirement medical scheme, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Casual Leave, Half Pay Leave and Earned Leave etc. are also admissible.
Selection Process:
Final selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Test / Interview.
Short-listed candidates will be notified for Test and / or interview. Their names would be hosted on the IREL website and Call letter along with instruction booklet would be send by post / e-mail to these candidates.
[To regulate the no. of candidates to be called for the test and/or interview, if required, the Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards / criteria, OR to relax the minimum eligibility standards / criteria including age limit for otherwise suitable candidates.]
Travel Allowance:
Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to and from 2-tier AC train fare from the nearest Railway Station from the shortest route.

Applicants must quote Advertisement Reference No. and Post on the application form. Name of the post applied for, should be super-scribed on the envelope containing the application.
Separate applications with all enclosures should be sent if applying for more than one post.
NOTE:
Persons who have retired from the Govt./PSUs including Indian Rare Earths Ltd. under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) will not be eligible to apply.
