Eligibility criteria

• Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
• Class 8 pass from a recognized Institution for ST Category candidates belonging to Mizoram State.

Age limit: Between 18 and 25 Years. Cut-off date for determining the age will be 23 June, 2011

Age relaxation: SC/ ST 5 years, OBC 3 years

Pay scale: Pay Band 1, Rs 5200 – 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs 2,000 per month. 

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen candidate and fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 50.

Selection Procedure

The candidate’s overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests.

1. Height Bar
2. Race
3. Checking of documents
4. Physical Standard Test (PST)
5. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
6. Written exam (100 marks)
   
   a) General English (objective type) (20 marks)
   
   b) General Hindi (objective type) (20 marks)
   
   c) General Awareness (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)
   
   d) Quantitative Aptitude Test (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)
   
   e) Simple Reasoning (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)
7. Interview (20 marks)
8. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

How to apply

Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects in the prescribed performa either type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application and duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with application fee and attested copies of testimonials to the “Inspector General (North West) Frontier, ITBP, PO-Seema Nagar, (Near Airport) Chandigarh (UT) -160003”. 

The application fee should be in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/ IPO/ Bank Draft in favour of “Inspector General (North West) Frontier, ITBP, PO-Seema Nagar, Chandigarh (UT)” PAYABLE AT SBI, AFS Chandigarh, Code No- 1495. The candidates opting for CRFS should affix the CRFS at specified space in application form and get cancelled as well.
