Established on 22 July 1970 by an Act of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, it is s premier institution of teaching and research in the country. Institute of Vocational (Tourism) Studies is affiliated to Himachal University. It invites interested candidates for admission to the courses mentioned below

Name of the Course and Number of Seats

• Master of Tourism Administration (MTA)(2 years): 40 seats (20 subsidized and 20 Non‐Subsidised seats)
• Integrated Course (Master) in Tourism Administration (FYICTA) (5 years): 35 seats (25 subsidized and 10 non-subsidized seats)
• Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM) (3 years): 40 seats (non-subsidised)

Educational Qualification

• Master of Tourism Administration (MTA)(2 years): Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent
• Integrated Course (Master) in Tourism Administration (FYICTA) (5 years): 10+2 in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent
• Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM) (3 years): 10+ 2 in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent

Selection Procedure for Admission in Institute of Vocational (Tourism) Studies, HPU

The candidates will be selected on the basis of Entrance Test followed by a Group Discussion

Application Fee: Rs 200 (on counter); Rs 250 (by post)

The application fee should be paid through IPO / Bank Draft in favor of the Director, IVS, HPU, Shimla
