Age Limit
• Head Constable: Candidate’s age should be between 18-25 years as on 31 March 2014.
• Constable: Candidate’s age should be between 18-23 years as on 31 March 2014.
Educational Qualification
• Head Constable (Master): 12th or equivalent and Master or Serang Certificate with 1 year experience in the trade.
• Head Constable (Workshop): 12th or equivalent and Diploma or Certificate in Diesel Engine or Machinist or Welder or Machine Shop or Carpentry or Electrician or Fitter or Turner with 1 year experience in the trade.
• Head Constable (Engine Driver): 12th or equivalent and possessing 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate with 1 year experience in the trade.
• Constable (Workshop): Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma or Certificate in Diesel Engine or Machinist or Welder or Machine Shop or Carpentry or Electrician or Fitter or Turner with 1 year experience in the trade.
• Constable (Crew): Matriculation or equivalent with 2 years experience in operating of Boat below 265 HP as a sukhani or Greaser or 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate and1 year experience in the trade.
Application Fee
• General/OBC candidates need to pay Rs.50/- as application fees by “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only.
• CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country.
• Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste,Scheduled Tribe, Ex-Servicemen and Women are exempted from paying fee.
Pay Scale
• Head Constable: Rs.5200-20200+Grade Pay Rs.2400/-.
• Constable: Rs.5200-20200+Grade Pay Rs.2000/-.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Height Bar, Race, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Tests, Written Exam, Medical Exam, Merit List and Checking of documents.
