JEE Advanced-2015: Information brochure updated

The Following two changes are made by the council in the JEE Advanced information brochure:

• Section 12 of Brochure which states the Fee for JEE Advanced 2015 now has another column added to it for Transgender. Admission criteria for Transgender, in ISM Dhanbad will be disclosed later.

Note: As per latest order of Supreme Court of India, third gender includes only transgenders, eunuchs and hijras. Lesbians, gays and bisexuals need to select either “Male” or “Female” option as appropriate. The registration fee shown above "does not include" service charges, processing fees and any other charges that the banks may charge. Detailed instructions related to the payment of registration fee will be given on the online registration portal.

• Merit lists for preparatory courses will be prepared only if the number of SC, ST, OBC-NCL-PwD, SCPwD and ST-PwD candidates in the respective merit lists is less than 1.4 times the number of seats available in the respective categories. Common merit list (CML)-PwD preparatory merit list will be prepared if the total number of qualified PwD candidates is less than 1.4 times the total number of PwD seats. Earlier, it was necessary for candidates to be among top 20 percentile scores of qualifying exam but now this criterion has been removed.
