Notice regarding the exam dates of JEE Advanced-2015 has been released by the IIT, Bombay. According to the notification, a short advertisement comprising of IIT JEE 2015 important information will be released online in the last week of September this year. The organizing committee will also release the complete information brochure of IIT JEE 2015 by the first week of October 2014. All leading newspapers will carry a detailed advertisement in the first or second week of October this year.
From 2013 onward, the Indian Institutes of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) has been replaced by the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) or JEE (Advanced) as the common entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by all 16 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

Only the top 1.5 lakh students who qualify the JEE (Main) will be eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) exam. The JEE (Main) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Recently, the IIT Council has approved the proposal of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) to change the JEE Advanced 2015 eligibility criteria to top 20 percentile or 75 per cent marks in the Class XII board exam, whichever is lower.
