Important dates regarding JEE Main 2017 such as start date of online application process, last date for application, examination dates etc. have been announced on its official website www.jeemain.nic.in
This is 5th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) and will be conducted on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Those aspirants who are willing to appear for this exam can complete online application process between December 1, 2016 to January 2, 2017.
Also, the detailed information bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear, examination fee, cities of examination, will be available on www.jeemain.nic.in on December 1, 2016.

Two changes has also been notified in the JEE pattern for 2017:
- No weightage will be given to 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.
- Those candidates who wish to get admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs should secure at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
Important notice regarding filling application form of JEE (Main)–2017
The candidates will be required to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender in the application form which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. These details should match with their school records. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)–2017.
Therefore, it is advised that candidate should ensure the correctness of their AADHAAR card detail.
If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.
