Around three months are left for the largest undergraduate entrance exam of India. JEE Main will be conducted on April 4th, 2015. JEE Main is conducted for the admission to NITs & IIITs and it is the gateway for JEE Advanced which is conducted for the admission to IITs. From now, around 2 months are left for the JEE Main. In these 2 months a candidate can ensure his/her selection in JEE Main by following the below mentioned tips.
Time Management: Time management is very important in case of very less time. In these two months, candidate has to use every single second of the time left. Moreover the management of the time should be in the manner so that the candidate can cover the whole syllabus of all the three subjects. For time management candidate has to divide his/her 24 hours in a way that the maximum time is allotted to the studies. Along with this any time wasting activity like unnecessary use of computer or mobile phone etc. must be avoided. By managing the time in this way a candidate can ensure his/her selection in JEE Main with a better rank.
Course completion with equal expertise: In these two months the major goal of an engineering aspirant must be of completing the whole syllabus with equal proficiency in all the three subjects. Same level of proficiency means that the no topic should be left in any of the three subjects and the candidate could be able attempt almost every question asked in the exam. For this type of expertise candidates have to ensure proper time management and efficient planning of their studies.
Meticulous planning: A good study plan not only ensures the completion of complete syllabus but it also ensures better understanding of concepts along with the success in the JEE Main. As a part of planning, candidates can divide the chapters of the three subjects according to the number days left. Every candidate must keep in mind that he/she studies every subject at least once a day. One or two days can be used for the revision of all the study made in the whole week. Candidates can attempt questions from different books to revise the topic. It will also help the candidate in understanding the level and type of questions related to the particular topic or concept.
Strategies for the three subjects: Along with the study plan, candidates can also follow different strategies for different subjects.
Physics: If you are going through a topic, note down all the important formulae, results and shortcut tricks. These small notes will be very useful for you a day before the JEE Main. Practice a good number of questions as per the availability of time. Don't try to attempt any long or complicated question and do not waste more than required time on a particular topic.
Chemistry: Every candidate must go through the NCERT books. These books almost cover the entire syllabus. Solving the exercises at the end of the chapters will help you in understanding the chapter completely. Along with NCERT, you can refer 1 or 2 standard books but you should keep in mind that there should not be a heap of books as the time is very less.
Mathematics: Mathematics can be assigned a lesser time than physics and chemistry as major portion of maths is covered during the preparation of board. But this subject must not be ignored. You must attempt more and more number of questions from every topic. For mathematics students need to identify their strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly.
Mock test & Self evaluation: Candidates try to join a test series as it will help them in understanding their strong areas and the areas where they need to more focus. Candidates must not get bothered by the marks obtained in the test rather they must change their strategy as per the test results and keep their study momentum going on.
Along with these tips candidates must take care of their health and go for an outdoor activity on a regular basis as this will not only keep you fit but also relaxed your mind which will help you in studying with more enthusiasm. All these tricks will help the candidate in scoring a good rank in JEE Main.
