            (D) 41/4

Q.       Replacement of chlorine of chlorobenzene to give phenol requires drastic conditions but chlorine of 2, 4 -dinitrochlorobenzene is readily replaced because

            (A) nitro makes the ring electron rich at ortho and para positions.
