Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) issued interview notification for filling up the the posts of Lecturer 10+2 Environmental Science in School Education Department. The interviews will be held at the J&K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground, Srinagar from 11 September 2012 to 20 September 2012.

Interview venue: J&K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground, Srinagar

Interview dates: From 11 September 2012 till 20 September 2012.

Candidates who have applied for the posts can check the notification to confirm their interview date. Eligible candidates are required to report at the venue of interview along with original certificates/testimonials at 9.30 a.m. sharp on the interview day.

Candidates, appearing for the interview, will have to furnish full details about the university from which they have qualified the degree, as per the Affidavit annexed in the notification, failing which they would not be allowed to appear in the interview and shall be deemed to have been rejected his/her candidature abinitio for the post.

Note: Names of candidates whose candidature has been rejected is also mentioned in the notification along with the reason of rejection. However, if these candidates can represent before the Commission, within a week’s time, documents to support their claim of eligibility, they might be allowed to appear for interview.          

The permission to appear in the interview is purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions under rules for the posts on the cut-off date as per Notifications.

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir State. The Commission advises the state Government on all matters relating to State Civil Service.

Under section 129 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir the Chairman and the Members of the Public Service Commission are appointed by the Governor for a period of five years or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.

Conducting examinations for appointments to the services of the State is one of the many functions of the Commission, as defined under section 133 of the Constitution of the Jammu and Kashmir State.
