Exam Day Guidelines for KTET Exam 2025
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is a state-level examination conducted annually to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Kerala, India. The test is divided into four categories: Category 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- Arrive Early: Candidates must reach the exam center at least two hours before the scheduled time to complete verification and security checks.
- No Late Entry: Entry gates will close 30 minutes prior to the exam. Latecomers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
- Admit Card: Carry a printed copy of the KTET admit card as it serves as the entry pass. Without it, entry into the examination hall will be denied.
- Photo ID Proof: Bring a valid photo ID proof that matches the name on the admit card. Accepted IDs include:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- Passport
- Passport-Size Photograph: Ensure you carry a recent passport-size photo, as it may be required during verification.

What is KTET Exam Pattern?
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is divided into four categories, corresponding to different levels of teaching positions. These four categories are:
- Category I is for Lower Primary Teachers, assessing knowledge related to child development, language, mathematics, environmental studies, and pedagogy.
- Category II is for Upper Primary Teachers, focusing on subjects such as social science, language, science, and pedagogy.
- Category III is for High School Teachers, with a focus on the relevant subject area along with general knowledge and pedagogy.
- Category IV is for Special Education Teachers, assessing subject-specific knowledge and teaching strategies for students with disabilities.

KTET Minimum Qualifying Marks
To qualify for the KTET exam, candidates from the General category must secure at least 60%, while candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories need to obtain a minimum of 55%. The qualifying marks for each category are as follows:
