The part A syllabus of Maharashtra Board SSC Social Science subject includes Ancient, Medieval and Modern history, India's Political, Social and cultural values, Religious and social Reformation, Revolutions, world wars, democracy, political parties, fundamental rights and duties of citizen, Electrical process, Constitution, Democracy, Political Parties, Social Diversity and its Relationship with Democracy, Challenges in Democracy.  The syllabus of Part B includes Natural Processes, Differences in Natural Resources, Reasons of Regional Imbalance, Recent Events and Future Changes in the Economy and co-relationship between economy and environment. Evaluation Scheme of Maharashtra Board SSC Social Science:

  • The total marks allotted for Social Science subject of Maharashtra Board Class 9th and Class 10th is 100 marks which is divided in to 80 marks for written test (Theory paper) and 20 marks for Practical/Viva/Projects.
  • There will be two papers of Social Science subject of Maharashtra Board SSC as the syllabus is divided in to two parts of four subjects as under –

Part A: History and Political Science
Part B: Geography and Economics

  • There will be practical/viva/project of 10 marks each for Part A and Part B of Maharashtra Board SSC Social Science subject.
  • The time duration for each theory paper is 2 hours.
  • The marks allotment for each subject of Social Science subject is as under –
