Before you decide to pursue MBA or management as a career choice, it is important to understand why you want to pursue Management as a career option and what are the different career options available to you in this domain?
The key fields or sub-domains within the field of Management include Finance, Marketing and International Business. In addition to this, there are several fields in which you can carve out your career.
B-schools for MBA& How to join them
Today, with the rising demand for quality MBA courses, the B-schools which offer these management programmes have also multiplied. When it comes to Management, the first thing that comes to one’s mind are the IIMs which include premier B-schools like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, Shilong& other new IIMs.To join MBA programmes offered by the IIMs, one has to take up CAT MBA entrance exam i.e. Common Admission Test.
To join other premier B-schools, one has to take up institute specific exams, for instance, to join XLRI Jamshedpur, MBA Aspirants have to take up XAT. Similarly, to join Symbiosis B-schools, one has to take up SNAP Test or the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test.
