National Thermal Power Corporation Limited Recruitment of Diploma Engineer Trainees 2011

NTPC Limited, India's largest power company contributed nearly one third of the country's entire power generation during the year 2010-2011 and plans to become a 128 GW power company by 2032. It invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment as Diploma Engineer Trainee.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

• Electrical: Full time regular Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks.
• Mechanical: Full time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 70% marks.
• Civil: Full time regular Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 70% marks.
• C & I: Full time regular Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks.

Age Limit (as on 10 October 2011): Maximum 27 years

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 300 and no fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ PH/ Women candidates. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account number (A/C NO. 30987919993) at CAG branch (Branch Code: 09996), New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the "challan"/ "pay-in-slip" which is available on the application registration portal of NTPC.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of 1(one) year at various NTPC sites and will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs 15,500 per month. On successful completion of training, these candidates will be absorbed in the pay scale of Rs 15500- 3%-34500 (W7 grade).

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will comprise of written examination (two hours objective type written examination/ test) followed by Interview of meritorious candidates.

Candidates have to choose a city as Test Center while applying online and no change under any circumstance will be considered subsequently.
