Eligibility Criteria for Junior Research Fellow & Other Posts

Educational Qualification

• Research Scientist: Candidate should possess Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree having 4 years of relevant research experience with atleast one research paper in SCI Journal/reputed journal. Degree must be in Hydrology/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science/Bio-Technology or equivalent.
• Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant/Field Assistant: Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with NET/GATE qualifications OR Post-Graduate degree in Civil Engineering. Or, Graduation in Civil Engineering with minimum one year of experience.
• Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduate Degree in basic sciences (Maths/ Physics/Geology/ Earth Sciences or equi.) with NET qualification. Or, Graduate Degree in Professional Course B.Tech. (Civil/ Agriculture /Computer Engg/Information Technology/Agricultural Engineering or equi.) with NET/ GATE qualification. OrPost-Graduate Degree in Professional Course M.Tech. (Water Resources/ Hydrology/ Remote sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/IT/ Agricultural Engineering or equi.)
• Senior Research Fellow: Post Graduate Degree in basic sciences (Earth Sciences, Environmental Science or equi.) with NET qualification (with two year of research Experience). Or, Graduate Degree in Professional Course B.Tech. (Civil/ Agriculture/ Environment or equi.) with NET/GATE qualification (with two year of research Experience). Or, Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course M.Tech. (Civil/Agriculture/Environment/ Water Resources/Hydrology/ Soil & Water Conservation/ Remote sensing/GIS or equi.) (with two year of research Experience.
• Research Associate: Doctorate (Ph.D) in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech. in the filed: Hydrology, Environmental Science, Civil Engg., Water Resources, Geoinformatics, Agriculture, Computer Science.
• Research Associate (RA)/ SRF/JRF: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent degree OR having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M. Tech. in: Hydrology, Soil & Water Conservation Engg., Meteorology, Agro-Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Forest Hydrology, Geo-informatics, Zoology or equivalent.
• Project Assistant (PA): Graduate in Basic Sciences.

Age Limit

Upper age limit for the post is 35 years.
