NMAT by GMAC Registrations have officially been open on 3rd July 2018 as per the official press release shared by the Graduate Management Admission Council. Along with starting the online registration process for the NMAT by GMAC, the council also announced a few major changes with regards to the MBA entrance exam. NMAT by GMAC 2018: Key Highlights
NMAT by GMAC is an online exam which is conducted in the time75-day testing window. In 2018, MAT by GMAC exam will commence from October 04 to December 17, 2018. However, before appearing in the exam, there are lot of changes being introduced by GMAC from registration to test fees. Take a look at the changes to gain complete information about the exam:
Simplified Registration Process
GMAC has taken a step forward to enable simplified registrations for the candidates. Now aspirants need not remember their credentials to login to the application window. Other online registration login methods have been introduced to facilitate the registration process without the need to remember every time a new password.
No of Test Centres increased
The widespread popularity of the exam has motivated the exam conducting authorities to increase the number of test centers across Indian and International boundaries. In all NMAT by GMAC has opened 58 test centers in 44 cities in India and 4 international cities. This would automatically increase the accessibility of the exam to the candidates.
Revised Test Fee
NMAT by GMAC has revised the registration fee for the exam to INR 2000 + applicable taxes. Last year, the fee for this exam was INR 1800 + applicable taxes and for late registrations the exam fee stood at INR 2000 + applicable taxes. The details of escalation in the application fee to register for the exam are mentioned as under:

More Payment Options
Earlier, applicants could make the fee payment via Visa, MasterCard, American Express Debit Card, Net Banking, Diners Club, and Mobile Wallets. However, in the current scenario, GMAC has introduced other payment methods to pay for NMAT by GMAC Registration fee. Apart from other existing online payment methods, aspirants can make payment via UPI as a part of Digital India initiative.
NMAT Exam Pattern Unchanged
Although there are changes in the application fee structure, but NMAT by GMA has kept the exam pattern unchanged for the exam aspirants. Like the previous year, NMAT by GMAC 2018 will also comprise of 3 sections carrying 120 questions that needs to be solved in time span of 120 minutes (i.e. 2 hours).

There will be No Negative Marking for choosing incorrect option to the question. Hence, aspirants can apply guess work in the exam to score a high percentile. Each section is individually timed and Quantitative Skills section carries highest weightage with 48% score in the exam. Exam takers can practise for the NMAT by GMAC exam through Free All India Mock Test which will be released in the month of Sep 2018 for all the candidates who are targeting to appear in the exam.
Choice of Section Order Retained
Candidate can choose the section order before starting the exam as per the NMAT by GMAC testing guidelines. This feature has been retained in the exam because it provides ease of attempting the exam to the candidates. The time limit for each of the 3 sections in NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam is fixed and candidates cannot move between the sections during the test.
