North Central Railway Notified Recruitment for 02 Posts against Cultural Quota 2014

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Central Railway (NCR), Allahabad, issued notification for recruitment to 2 Group ‘C’ posts against Cultural Quota for the year 2014-2015. Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned office so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 28 October 2014 (till 1730 hours).

Vacancy Details

1. Cultural Quota vacancies: 2 posts
Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/ Rs.2000 per month

Discipline wise vacancy distribution

i. Classical Music (Vocal) Female: 1 post
ii. Classical Music (Vocal) Male: 1 post

Age Limit

18 years- 30 years

Educational Qualification

 Matriculation or equivalent OR higher qualification and experience in the field and performances given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc. and won prizes at national level is desirable. Candidates should possess a Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in relevant discipline (classical music vocal).

Selection Procedure

 Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Written Test, and assessment in the relevant field on the basis of practical demonstration and verification of testimonials & Prizes.

The written examination will consist of objective type questions. Call letters for written Exam will be sent to eligible candidates. List of eligible candidates and updates will be displayed in the North Central Railway website www.ncr.indianrailways.gov.in. 

Selected candidates will have to pass the requisite medical fitness standards test, prescribed for the post and qualify the training before posting.

Examination Fees

Non-refundable examination fee of Rs.100 is to be paid through a crossed IPO drawn in favour of ‘Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Allahabad’, payable at Allahabad.

Interested and eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format,  along with fee IPO in original, 3 passport size photos, two self-addressed, stamped envelopes and attested copies of required certificates/ documents/ testimonials by post to ‘The Chairman/ Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Nawab Yusuf Road, Valmiki Chauraha, Allahabad (U.P) Pin Code –211001’ or drop it in the drop box provided at the said office premises on or before 28 October 2014 till 1730 hours.

On the envelope containing the application, candidates should super-scribe ‘Application for Recruitment against Cultural Quota for the year 2014-15”.
