Delhi Division, Northern Railway issued notification inviting applications from eligible male sports personnel for recruitment to 5 posts against open advertisement quota in sports in PB-I of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.1800 for the year 2013-2014. Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: (as on 1 July 2013.)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum 25 years
Qualification
Educational: Class 10th or equivalent.
Sports: Candidate applying for recruitment must have:
Represented the country in any of the Category-C Championships / Events or in a state or equivalent unit in Senior / Youth / Junior National Championships OR secured at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (senior category) or in a Senior State Championships for all units and District of the state.
For Chess, in addition to above candidates having 2300 or more Rating points in last two consecutive FIDE Rating lists can also apply.
In Rifle Shooting for recognized domestic championships as mentioned above only the individual performance of the candidate shall be considered for recruitment purpose.
In team sports, only sports persons who have actually played the sport in-field shall only be considered for recruitment against sports quota.
Sports person should be an active player and achievements gained on or after 1 April 2011 shall only be considered for appointment.
Selection Process: Final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in Sports trials followed by Interview - assessment of sports achievements and other criteria for selection.
Candidates will be required to produce all documents / certificates in original at the time of trial / Interview else they will not be allowed to attend the trial procedure.
Selected candidates would be required to undergo medical examination as per the prescribed norms of different categories. Candidates found medically fit by the Trial Committee will only be considered for the next stage by the Recruitment Committee.
Shortlisted eligible candidates will be required to stay at the trail venue for 2 to 3 days for the selection process at their own cost.
Address of the Venue where trail / Interview will be held will be advised to the selected candidates later.
Appointed / finally selected candidates will be liable to serve on any post / any department and anywhere in Delhi Division.
Application Fee: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 40 have to be paid through a Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favor of “Divisional Sports Association, Northern Railway, Delhi Division” payable at New Delhi.
SC/ ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with attested copies of required certificates to ‘Sports Cell, Welfare Branch, Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Northern Railway, State Entry Road, New Delhi-110055’ through ordinary post so as to reach the concerned office on or before 2 August 2013.
On the envelope, carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe in capital letters as ‘400E / 118 / Sports / Rectt. / DLI / 2013’ and Name of the Event applied for (should be written in the bracket).
