Office of the Inspector General, BSF Notified Recruitment for the Post of SMO/GDMO 2014

Office of the Inspector General, Border Security Force- Ministry of Home Affairs invited applications for the Post of Specialist Medical Officers (SMO) and General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) on Contractual Basis. The eligible candidates can appear for the Walk-in interview from 15 December 2014 to 19 December 2014.

• Genera Duty Medical Officers

1. For appointments in 'A' Class cities - Rs. 62,213/-
2. For appointments in 'B' Class cities - Rs. 59,588/-
3. For appointment in Unclassified areas - Rs. 56,963/

Eligibility Criteria:  

• Specialist Medical Officers (SMO)

1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedules should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Subsection (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty as mentioned in Section-A or Section- B of Schedule- VI or equivalent.
3. 1½ years' experience for Post Graduate degree holder & 2½ years for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent.

• General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO)

1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedules should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Subsection (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 67 Years

Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the interview conducted by the organization.
