Pondicherry University (PU)invited applications from highly qualified, dedicated and academically productive Indian Nationals for recruitment to 26 Faculty positions in various Disciplines which are additionally sanctioned by the UGC. Eligibility Criteria

1. Professor: Candidate should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. He/She should have 10 years of teaching experience in University/College, an/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

2. Associate Professor: Candidate should have a good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. He/She should have Master’s Degree with at least 55% and minimum of 2 years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D.r esearch with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

3. Assistant Professor: Candidate should have a good academic record with at least 55%marks at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Pay scale

1. Professor: Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.10000/-
2. Associate Professor: Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.9000/-
3. Assistant Professor: Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6000/-
