(POSE) Scholarship Scheme 2025: Procedure to Avail Research Mentorship

To avail the mentorship grant, scholars must undertake project work under a Professor/Research Supervisor (Mentor) either at their parent institution or at any recognized university, institute, or research laboratory in India or abroad.

For students conducting projects in India, the expenses related to travel, accommodation, equipment, and consumables are reimbursed within the mentorship grant. If the sponsoring institute provides any stipend or travel grant, only the difference between the total support received and the actual expenditure will be reimbursed from the mentorship grant.

The mentorship grant is reimbursed directly to the scholar for research work. After completing the project, the candidate must submit the following documents to HSCSIT for reimbursement:

• A letter from the Professor/Research Supervisor/Head of Institution confirming the project duration (start and completion dates).
• A report outlining the objectives and results of the research work/project.
• Brief details of the expenditure (travel, accommodation, equipment, consumables, etc.) duly countersigned by the Head/Principal/Registrar/Teacher of the concerned institution.
• Details of funds received from any other department/institute for the project, included as a separate heading.

Promotion of Science Education (POSE) Scholarship Scheme 2025: Monthly Allowance

The POSE Scholarship provides financial assistance to students as follows:

• 1st to 3rd year of B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math/Integrated M.Sc./M.S.: INR 4,000 per month
