PSEB Class 11 Economics Syllabus: The Punjab School Education Board's new syllabus for class 11 Economics is provided here. This syllabus will apply to the current academic session with all exams and assessments to be conducted based on it. The syllabus is structured in a way to equip students with a foundational understanding of economic principles and their application in the real world.
The PSEB Class 11 Economics syllabus is divided into three main parts:
- Part A: Indian Economic Development
- Part B: Punjab Economy
- Part C: Statistics.
Part A focuses on India's economic journey, starting with its state before independence and progressing to current challenges. Part B dives into the specific economy of Punjab while Part C introduces students to statistics as a tool for economic analysis.

PSEB Class 11 Economics Examination Scheme 2024-2025
The Economics exam will be for 100 marks. It will include an annual theory examination and an internal assessment with the mark breakup as follows:

UNIT 7: ANALYSIS OF DATA |
Chapter 5: Measures of Central Tendency Arithmetic mean, median, quartile, decile, percentile, mode, relative position of mean, median and mode. Chapter 6: Correlation Types of correlation, Techniques for measuring correlation: Scatter diagram, Karl Pearson’s coefficient of correlation, Spearman’s rank correlation, Appendix to Correlation. Chapter 7: Index Numbers What is an index number, Construction of an index number: Simple aggregative method, Simple average of price relative method, Some important index numbers: Consumer price index, wholesale price index, index of industrial production, human development index, Sensex, Issues in the construction of an index number, Index number in economics.
