The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites Applications from eligible candidates for Punjab Civil Service (Judicial Branch) Examination 2011 to be conducted jointly by the Punjab Public Service Commission and Hon'ble High Court Punjab & Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Degree of Bachelor of Laws of any University incorporated by Law in India or a Degree of Bachelor of Laws of Punjab University (undivided), the Dacca University, The Tribhuwan University, Nepal, The Sind University or of the Rangoon or Mandalay University in Burma, or should be a Barrister of England or Ireland or member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland.
- Punjabi upto Matric or its equivalent Standard.
- Candidates appearing in the final year/ semester examination of the degree of Bachelor of Law may appear in this examination subject to the condition that they must possess the degree of Bachelor of Law.
Age Limit: Maximum 21 years; maximum 37 years
Pay Scale: Rs 27,700- 40,450 or such as may be revised from time to time
Application Fee: The candidates may obtain an Application Form along with detailed instructions for filling up the Application Form by hand or by post from the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, Baradari Gardens, Patiala- 147001 on payment of requisite fee through a crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, payable at Patiala. The candidate must write their name and address in Block Capital Letters on the reverse of the bank draft also.
The cost of application form at counter (by cash) is Rs 25 and by post through bank draft is Rs 75. Application fee for SC/ ST candidates of all states and backward classes of Punjab is Rs 500. Fee for candidates belonging to General category is Rs 2000. No fee will be charged from Ex- servicemen candidates.
The Candidates must attach two self addressed duly stamped envelopes (worth Rs 30) each of 24 cm x 11 cm indicating the name of the post on the top left corner of envelope.
Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of examination conducted in three stages viz. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Viva Voce.
