Eligibility Criteria for Research Scientist, Research Associate and Other Posts

Educational Qualification

• Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) – 1^st class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from a recognized University with 4 years of research experience in relevant field. Or 2^nd class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from a recognized university with Ph.D. Degree and four years of research experience in relevant field.
• Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) - 1^st class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from a recognized University with 2 years of research experience in relevant field. Or 2^nd class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics with Ph.D. degree in relevant subject from a recognized university.
• Research Associate – Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in the field of Geography/Metrology or Environmental Sciences with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed Journal and knowledge of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System.
• Project Assistant – Graduate in life Sciences/Zoology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry from a recognized University with three years relevant experience. Or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/Zoology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry from a recognized University.
• Scientist-B (Medical-Non Medical) – MBBS Degree with two years research or training experience or MD in Microbiology/Pathology/PSM from a recognized University.
• Senior Research Fellow- Post Graduate degree in basic science with Net qualification and 2 years of research experience. Or Graduate degree in Professional Course with Net qualification and 2 years of research experience.
• Project Scientist (Research Assistant) – Graduate in Degree Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized institute with three years of relevant experience. Or Master’s Degree in Degree Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized Institute.

Age Limit

• Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical, Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical), Research Associate, Project Assistant, Scientist-B (Medical - Non Medical), Senior Research Fellow- 35 years
• Project Scientist (Research Assistant)– 30 Years
