Mathura: Sanskriti University celebrated the World Tourism Day by organizing a variety of events related to Tourism and Digital Transformation Program of the industry. The event was graced by the General Manager of Nidhivan Sarovar Ratneshwar Sahay as the chief guest. In his address, he noted that the opportunities in the tourism sector are increasing rapidly in Vrindavan and Mathura region.
The cultural heritage, wildlife sanctuaries, religious places and museums are attracting tourist from all over the world. In addition, the savoury delicacies of Mathura have also significantly contributed in attracting tourists to the region.
He also highlighted the immense growth potential of tourism industry in the region and said that the trained and qualified professionals are required to address the diverse needs of tourists who visit Mathura from different parts of the world. However, he said in order to help the tourism sector grow, professionals from this sector have to work diligently and relentlessly. He also added that professionals who are client centric, hard-working and those who possess pleasant behaviour are needed in the tourism sector.
Dr. Abhay Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor - Sanskriti University in his address to students reiterated that tourism industry possesses massive potential. He argued that India being a land of culture and heritage attracts tourists from across the globe. Especially, pilgrimage tourism is a popular option available in the region. Local students can build their careers in this field by taking the onus of various hidden facets and historical and heritage facts about Mathura to the world.
Addressing the audience at the event Sanskriti University Dean Dr. Kalyan said India has set the right stage and favourable policies for the development of Travel and Tourism sector. The geographic, climatic, social and cultural diversity that India offers has made it an ideal destination for tourists. Tourism projects that are targeted at exploring the new opportunities in this sector with positive thinking are the need of the hour.
Sanskriti University expressed their gratitude towards Nidhivan Sarovar GM Ratneshwar Sahay and Neha Madam from Sarvar Hotel Group with a memento. The concluding vote of thanks was delivered by Departmental Head Piyush Jha.
