Selection for Assistant Grade III (AG-III) Posts in FCI will be on the basis of a Written Examination followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
A graduate in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for AG-III (Gen) exam -- Post Code A and for AG-III (Depot) exam -- Post Code D.
For AG-III (Acc) -- Post Code B, the candidate should be a commerce graduate from a recognized University.
The written exam for Post Codes A, B and D will consist of two papers -- Paper-I and Paper-II (200 marks each). Both the papers will be of Higher Secondary or 10th level.
Any individual who holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture/ Botany/Zoology/Microbiology /Bio- Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Food Science from a recognized University or B.Tech/BE in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology from a recognized University/an institution approved by AICTE can appear for AG-III (Tech) exam -- Post Code C.
Candidates applying for Post Code C will have to appear in Paper-I and Paper-III (also of 200 marks). Paper III will, however, be of degree or graduation level.

The written exam would be followed by the CPT. The CPT, with components of Word Processing and Excel, will be of qualifying nature. Proficiency in Computers is a must for all the posts.
Qualifying marks in word processing may be prescribed by the SSC at its discretion for evaluation of Excel Scripts, in which a separate qualifying standard will be prescribed.
Only those candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Paper-I and Paper-II/ Paper-III will appear for the CPT.
NOTE:
• Paper-I of the written examination will be held on 11 November 2012 and Paper-II and Paper-III of the written examination will be held tentatively on 6 January 2013. Depending upon the number of candidates, the Commission may hold the written examination for Paper-I on a later date also. Paper I will be used for short listing the candidates whose papers II or III, as the case may be, will be evaluated.
• Only those candidates who qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be eligible to be considered for final selection. Final selection will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper I and II (200 and 200 marks) for Post Codes A, B and D and will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper I and III (200 and 200 marks) for Post Code C.
• Allocation of different zones to candidates will be done on the basis of merit cum option of zone and thereafter , to different posts within the zone. Seniority for all purpose will be maintained within the zone.
• Candidates are advised to note that they will be considered for only one post based on this recruitment .
• Visually handicapped (VH) candidates with visual disabilities of forty per cent or above would be allowed the assistance of a Scribe in the Written Examination and Passage Reader for CPT subject to such request being made in the application form. Question papers and answer sheets will not be provided in Braille.
• There will be no exemption from Computer Proficiency Test.
