State Institute of Film & Television, Rohtak Notified Recruitment for 8 Faculty Posts 2014

State Institute of Film & Television (SIFTV), Rohtak, a State Government Institute under Technical Education Department, Haryana issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 8 faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer (2 posts each) in various disciplines on direct recruitment/ contract/ deputation basis.  Interested candidates should send their applications to the Institute by post so as to reach there on or before 20 March 2014

Total vacancies: 8 posts

Mode of recruitment: Direct recruitment/ Contract/ Deputation basis

1. Professor (Direction, Cinematography): 2 posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 37400- 67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 9500

Age limit: 55 years (as on 20 March 2014)

Experience: at-least 15 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in Film/TV Industry or Teaching at Film& TV Institution.

2. Associate Professor (Editing, Acting): 2 posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 37400- 67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700

Age limit: 52 years (as on 20 March 2014)

Experience: at-least 12 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in Film/TV Industry or Teaching at Film& TV Institution..

3. Assistant Professor (Cinematography, Editing): 2 posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 15600- 39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600

Age limit: 48 years (as on 20 March 2014)

Experience: at-least 8 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in Film/TV Industry or Teaching at Film& TV Institution.

4. Lecturer (Cinematography, Sound): 2 posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 9300- 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400

Age limit: 40 years (as on 20 March 2014)

Experience: at-least two years (8 years for candidates with Diploma qualification) of relevant post-qualification work experience in Film/TV Industry or Teaching at Film& TV Institution.

Educational Qualification:

For faculty in acting: Graduate in any discipline with 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in respective discipline from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune/ Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata OR 3 year program from National School of Drama , New Delhi.

For faculty in Editing/ Sound Engineering/ Cinematography/ Direction: Graduate in any discipline with 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in respective discipline from FTII, Pune/  SRFTI, Kolkata/ Roop kala Kendro, Kolkata OR Diploma in Audiography (Sound Engineering), Cinematography, Editing from MGR Govt. Film & TV Institute, Chennai/ Biju Patnaik, Film & TV Institute, Cuttack/ Govt. Film & TV Institute, Bangalore or equivalent.

Ph.D in respective field for the Posts of Associate Professor and Professor is mandatory qualification.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.

Written test might be conducted to short-list candidates for Interview, if the no of applications received is large.

Intimation regarding written test (if any)/ Interview will be sent through E-mail/ Telephone to eligible shortlisted candidates.

Initial appointment to all the posts will be on contractual basis for a period of two years & will be regularized on completion of two years satisfactory contractual service.

Candidates not fulfilling the prescribed criteria but otherwise suitable might be considered for the post of Teaching Associate or visiting Faculty on contractual/ fixed remuneration basis.
