Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore (Tamilnadu) invited application to fill various posts of T1 and LCD level that are Technical Assistance, Laboratory Technician and Lower Division Clerk for different locations. Details of the post and other mandatory information is provided below.

Age limit
T1 Technical Assistant & T1 Laboratory Technician: 18-30 years
Lower Division Clerk: 18-27 years
Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Physically handicapped candidates is provided where as ICAR employees can not avail this benefit.
Application Fees
The candidate belonging to general and other backward class categories have to submit application fees of Rs. 200 whereas the candidate of SC/ST categories are exempted to provide any application fees.
Education Qualification
Technical Assistant and Laboratory Technician should posses matriculate along with at least 1-year certificate in Agriculture from a recognized institution.
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree in Science.
2) Experience in farm operations.
3) Proficiency in Computer operations.
While Lower Division Clerk should have 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University along with typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in Hindi or 35 w.p.m. in English on computer. In addition, the candidates should have proficiency in Computer Operation.
Pay Scale
• Technical Assistant and Laboratory Technician- Pay Band- Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000 Initial pay- Rs. 6460 + 2000 (Plus allowances)
• Lower Division Clerk- Pay Band-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900 Initial pay- Rs.5830 + 1900 (Plus allowances)

• Prepare DD of Fee Rs.200 in favor of ICAR Unit SBI payable at Coimbatore

Selection procedure
• The selected candidates will be called for Written examination followed by Interview.
• The candidate applying for LCD posts have to give typing test in the computer as part of the examination with a minimum speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
