    Various nitrogenous fertilizers (ammonium nitrate, urea, ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulphate)produced by the use of ammonia. Some inorganic nitrogen compounds, the most important one being nitric acid is manufactured by the use of ammonia. Liquid ammonia is also used as a refrigerant. Ammonia is the main ingredient in most oven cleaners. Ammonia is used to scrub Sulfur dioxide from the burning fossil fuels used in power plants. It is also used to neutralize the nitrogen oxide produced by diesel engines.
