    From the current academic session CBSE’s remodeled assessment structure for class 10 comes in action according to which the dual scheme of examination for class 10 goes discontinued, making the CBSE Class 10 Board exams mandatory. The new assessment scheme will have an 80 marks component for class 10 Board examination in all scholastic subjects along with a 20 marks component of Internal Assessment (IA). IA comprises Periodic Tests (PT) with weightage of 10 marks, Notebook Submission of 5 marks and Subject Enrichment Activities of 5 marks.

    4. Carbon and its Compounds

    Bonding in carbon compounds, different functional groups and their nomenclature, saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, chemical properties of carbon compounds, etc., are the topics discussed in this chapter.

    5. Periodic Classification of Elements

    CBSE Class 10 Mathematics Tips and Strategies

    Some common tips to be followed are:

    • Make a list of all Maths formulae for repetitive revision.
    • Do lots of practice to achieve proficiency in Maths.
    • Solve CBSE practice papers and sample papers within the time constraints to learn time management.
    • Attempt each exercise’s same pattern of questions and decipher the technique applied to solve those, thus by memorizing the formulae implied on solving those. This will give you a clearer understanding of the subject.
