UGC on 25 March 2013 released updated answer keys for National Eligibility Test (NET) that was conducted on 30 December 2012. On 19 February 2013 UGC had released Question Paper and Answer Keys of 78 subjects along with an online feedback system for answer keys.
UGC started with online feedback system for answer keys in order to maintain transparency and impartiality in preparation of the result. Candidates who had appeared for the exam were required to submit their grievance regarding answer along with explanation in any of the paper (Paper I, Paper II or Paper III) till 26 February 2013 (midnight). The final result that was declared on 25 March 2013 was prepared on the basis of updated answer keys received by the commission.
The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for appointment of Lecturers in colleges and universities and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The main objective of the test is to ensure minimum paradigm for the candidates entering in the noble profession of teaching and research. NET is held twice a year in the month of June and December in 78 subjects across 74 centres in the country.
