University of Delhi Recruitment 2016 for 14 Faculty Posts

University of Delhi (DU) invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Hindustani Music) and Other Posts. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 18 July 2016.

Under University of Delhi Recruitment 2016, a total of 14 posts are allotted to Assistant Professor.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Hindustani Music) and Other Posts Job: Good academic record with at least 55% marks ( B in the seven point scale with letter grade  O, A, B, C, D, E & F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed) ) at the Master’s Degree level,  in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturer conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET .Or A Traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have: Studied under noted/ reputed traditional masters and has thorough knowledge to explain the subject concerned; A high grade artist of AIR/TV; and Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to  teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

Eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format and send the applications along with other necessary documents to the Department of Music, University of Delhi . Last date of receipt of application is 18 July 2016 at 1:00 PM. The interview will be held in the Department on 19 July 2016 at 10.00 a.m. in the room of the Head of the Department of Music.
