UPPSC Prelims Exam 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) successfully conducted the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Prelims Exam 2024 on December 22, 2024, in two shifts, i.e., from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. As per the official, the examination is successfully conducted at 1331 exam centres where around 42% of the registered candidates attempted both shifts. Out of 576,154 registered candidates, only 241,212 appeared for the exam.

Measures Taken to Ensure Fairness and Integrity

To ensure the fairness and integrity of the examination, UPPSC implemented a robust two-tier security system: The commission also deployed advanced technological measures:

  • All 1,331 examination centres were equipped with CCTV cameras. The footage was live-streamed to a centralised control room, enabling real-time monitoring.
  • Candidates underwent iris scans and other biometric checks to prevent proxy participation.
  • The control room promptly flagged and addressed any suspicious activities by alerting the concerned centres.
