UPSC released the list of candidates recommended to fill the vacant posts of Assistant Commandant in Central Armed Police Forces , from the list of Reserve list. UPSC has recommended the 35 candidates from the reserve list, to fill the vacant posts. It includes 13 candidates from the OBC and SC category, the candidature of the 02 candidates is provisional and conditional for 01 candidate, subject to the verification of documents.
Earlier, UPSC notified vide the press note dated 09 February, 2016 recommending 224 candidates in Order of Merit for the appointment as Assistant commandant. The candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces viz. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) were selected based on the examination held on 12 July 2016 and subsequent interview cum personality test.
Apart from the list of recommended candidates, UPSC also maintains a list of reserve candidates in order of merit, to fill the vacant posts in case originally selected candidates are incapable of joining the service.
UPSC, notified that the Ministry of Home Affairs would get in touch with the recommended candidates directly for further formalities for finalization of the recruitment.
