Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
(i) Geologist: Master's degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo- Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Geophysical Technology from a recognized University.
(ii) Geophysicists: M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc.(Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognised University .
(iii) Chemists: M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University.
(iv) Junior Hydro-geologists: Master's degree In Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology or Master's degree In Hydrogeology from a recognised University.
Age Limit
• Category I: Candidate’s age must not be below than 21 years and must not exceed from 32 years as on the first day of the month of August of the year in which the Examination is to be held.
• Category II: Candidate’s age must not be below than 21 years and must not exceed from 35 years as on 01 August 2014.

Eligible candidates have to apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in in the prescribed format on or before 31 March 2014 till 11.59 pm. Before filling the online application candidates are requested to read all the instructions carefully to avoid any mistake as the details filled by the candidates are used for further processes as well.
