UPSC Mains Result 2024 : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result for Civil Services Exam (CSE) Mains exam 2024 on its official website.  Candidates who appeared in the mains exam can check their results from the official website-https://upsc.gov.in. On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, shortlisted candidates are called for the Personality Test (Interview).

A total of 14,627 candidates appeared in the UPSC Mains 2024. As per the selection process, candidates who qualify in the mains round will have to appear in the interview round. It is noted that a total of 1056 vacancies are available to fill in various services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, etc. under the recruitment drive. The breakdown of vacancies will be available in the advertisement for All India Service and Central Service once the selection process is finished.

UPSC CSE Mains Result 2024: UPSC DAF-II Schedule

All those candidates who have qualified in the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination are able to appear in the interview round. Candidates shortlisted in the mains exam will have to fill up and submit DAF-II online mode through the official website. Candidates can fill the DAF-II from the 13th December, 2024 to 19th December, 2024 till 6:00 P.M.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.

Step 3: After clicking on Results, a new page will open with multiple tabs. Look out for another tab ‘Civil Services 2024 Exam Mains Result’ or some similar mentioning and click on it.
Step 4: The result is likely going to be a PDF document.

UPSC Mains Result 2024 What's Next?

All those candidates who qualify in the UPSC mains exam round will have to appear for the Interview/Personality Test stage. According to the selection process, the candidate will be interviewed by a Board who will have before them a record of the candidate’s career. In the interview board, the candidate will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The object of the Interview/Personality Test will be to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service by a Board of competent and unbiased observers. The Interview/Personality Test is intended to judge the mental calibre of a candidate. The commission will release the details of the interview schedule in due course of time.
