Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared final result for 02 Posts of Scientist B (Scientific- Physics) in M/o Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Candidates are selected on the basis of interview/exam conducted by the organization.

Information from Official Notification:

Modalities adopted for scrutinizing the applications are as under:- Some of the candidates can be rejected under more than one category. They have been rejected under the category considered as most appropriate. (iii) Applications of candidates who have not furnished the date of award of Ph. D degree under the relevant column in the online application were deemed to have submitted their thesis only and for the purpose of scrutiny such candidates were not treated as Ph. D holders. (iv) Teaching experience has not been considered relevant. Total research experience after acquisition of Post graduate degree has been taken into account for the purpose of scrutiny. In the absence of experience certificates, Ph. D candidates were given a weightage of three years research experience only. Applications of candidates whose Experience Certificate does not specify the nature of duties have been rejected under the category of “Incomplete Applications” Appointment letters resignation letters, pay certificates and the certificates attested by the candidates themselves or self employment certificates have not been considered as proof of experience and such applications are treated as “one without EC” and rejected under “Incomplete category” Applications of candidates who have not submitted the requisite documents called for from them are also rejected under “Incomplete” category.
