Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/ Rs.2000 per month

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: below 30 years

Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma/ Degree in the discipline/ skill and experience in the field and performances given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc. and won prizes at national level is desirable.
Professional qualifications: Degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline (Bharatnatyam Dance/ Violin Player).
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Written Test, assessment of skills on the basis of practical demonstration, verification of testimonials & Prizes and Personality test/ Interview.
The written examination will consist of objective type questions. Call letters for written Exam will be sent to eligible candidates. List of eligible candidates and updates will be displayed in the Western Railway website www.wr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Selected candidates will have to pass the requisite medical fitness standards test, prescribed for the post.
Specific category and place of posting will be decided by the Western Railway Administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidate.
Mode of selection, date, time and venue of selection process would be intimated to the shortlisted candidates by ordinary post.
Travel Allowance: SC/ ST candidates appearing for the written test, Interview/ personality test will be issued to and fro IInd class journey pass.
NOTE: Selected candidates, if posted in Clerical category would have to acquire typing skill -- speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on Typewriter/ speed of 40 words per minute in English or 35 words per minute in Hindi on Computers -- within a period of 2 years.
Examination Fees: Non-refundable examination fee of Rs.100 is to be paid through a crossed IPO drawn in favour of ‘Chief Cashier, Western Railway, Mumbai’, payable at Mumbai.
Candidates should mention their Name and Address on the IPO.
SC/ ST candidates, Women, Minority, Ex-servicemen, PWD candidates & candidates belonging to economically backward classes are exempted from payment of examination fees.
