Alok Mishra was elected as the new Chairman of The Indian Bank  Association (IBA) on 18 June 2012

Alok Mishra was elected as the new Chairman of The Indian Bank  Association (IBA) on 18 June 2012. The Annual General  Meeting of Indian Bank Association was held on 16 June 2012. The committee elected Alok Mishra as the chairman for 2012-2013 fiscal year. 

Alok Mishra was the executive Director of Canara Bank from 2006-2007. He was the chairman and Managing Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce in 2007. Under his leadership, the business of Oriental Bank of Commerce grew by 46.15%.

Moreover, the heads of Punjab, Allahabad Bank and ICICI Bank are K.R. Kamath, JP Dua and Chanda Kochhar respectively are elected as Deputy Chairman.
