Lieutenant General JS Sidana took charge as the 33rd Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. Lieutenant General JS Sidana is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla. He joined the army in 1985.  

2. (a) Matt Ebden- Rohan Bopanna

Top Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna along with his Australian partner Matt Ebden won the Miami Open men's doubles title. Bopanna broke his own record of becoming the oldest ATP Masters 1000 champion. Earlier this year, Bopanna won her first doubles Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

The African country Congo has appointed Judith Suminwa Tuluka as the country's first woman Prime Minister. Tuluka's appointment has come at a time when there is an atmosphere of tension in the area bordering Rwanda. Congo is a Central African country, its capital is Kinshasa.     

4. (a) MS Dhoni

Great Indian wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni has become the first Indian wicketkeeper to score 7,000 runs in T20 cricket. Dhoni achieved this feat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL. The record for most runs as a wicketkeeper-batsman is held by South Africa's Quinton de Kock, who has scored 8,578 runs so far.
