Indian Navy's First Training Squadron (1TS) - INS Tir and ICGS Veera completed their long distance training deployment to Manama, Bahrain on 16 October 24. A delegation from 1TS including Sea Trainees visited Naval Support Facility, Bahrain and also gained insight into Task Force 59.

The Ministry of Rural Development has signed MoUs with ten banks to promote individual financing for high-scale enterprises. Under this, agreements have been finalised with nine public sector banks and one private bank.

FIDE Master Gurpreet Pal Singh of India won the gold medal at the ACO World Chess Championship in Crete, Greece. Gurpreet is known for training players like Grandmaster and former Under-10 world champion Sahaj Grover.

The Uttarakhand Madrasa Board has recently planned to make Sanskrit a compulsory subject in 416 madrasas across the state. The board is preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state's Sanskrit department. Let us tell you that at present, Arabic is taught in more than 100 madrasas.
