The 'Power Of The Dog’ directed by Jane Campion has the maximum number of nominations at the 94th Academy Awards with 12 nominations in key categories including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch. Dune follows closely with 10 Nominations, followed by West Side Story and Belfast with 7 Nominations each. 

2. (c) Karnataka

The Karnataka High Court on February 10, 2022 asked students not to wear religious things till the disposal of the matter. This came after the court heard petitions challenging the ban on hijab in colleges.

3. (d) Vinay Mallya

The Supreme Court of India on February 10, 2022 granted fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya the last opportunity of two weeks to personally or through counsel present his stand in the contempt case against him. If he fails to do so, the court will be forced to take the matter to a logical conclusion.

4. (c) France

France is organising the One Ocean Summit from February 9-11, 2022 in Brest, France, in cooperation with the United Nations and the World Bank. PM Narendra Modi addressed the high-level segment of the summit on February 11, 2022. 

5. (a) Madhya Pradesh

India’s first commercial biomass-based hydrogen plant will be built in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

Russia plans to hold military drills in the Black Sea. Six Russian warships arrived in the Black Sea earlier on February 10th, near the Crimean peninsula Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014 for the naval drills.

7. (b) Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir government has signed a pact with New Zealand for transforming the sheep farming sector. The objective of the agreement will be to improve farmers' remuneration, transfer of technology in research and development and marketing and value addition of J&K sheep products.

The number of deaths of Tigers in the country has risen to 127 in 2021, in comparison to 106 in 2020, as per reports from the states. Madhya Pradesh reported the maximum number of deaths with 42 deaths, followed by Maharashtra with 27 deaths, Karnataka with 15 and Uttar Pradesh with 9.
