TS TET Eligibility Criteria 2025: Educational Qualification, Age Limit for Paper 1 and 2

TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2025 

The Department of Education, Government of Telangana, has released the TS TET eligibility criteria 2025 on its official website along with the notification. Candidates going to apply for TS TET exam should note the eligibility criteria that consists of age limit, educational qualification, etc should know these so that they do not face cancellation of application forms. 

The TS TET exam is conducted for the appointment of teachers to teach classes 1 to 8 in Telangana state. The TS TET exam is held for appointment of primary and secondary school teachers.

TS TET Eligibility 2025: Age Limit 

As per the TS TET notification, there is no age limit to apply for TS TET exam. Candidates of any age group are eligible to apply provided they fulfill the educational qualification. 

TS TET Educational Qualification for Paper 1 

The TS TET paper 1 exam is held for those candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5. Candidates applying for Paper 1 should fulfill  the given eligibility criteria. 

1. Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

OR

2. Senior Secondary with at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently-abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary 3. Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to DElEd/ DEd course prior to the issue of guidelines

OR

4. Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

TS TET Educational Qualification for Paper 2

The TS TET paper 2 exam is held for those candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates applying for Paper 2  should fulfill  anyone of the given eligibility criteria. 

1. BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education)

OR

2. BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd prior to the issue of guidelines 

OR

3. 4-year BAEd/ BScEd with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates)

OR

4. For Language Teachers, Graduation with the language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of oriental language OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ BEd with language concerned as one of the Methodologies

OR

5. BE/ BTech with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd) or BEd (Special Education)

Important Points to Note for TS TET Eligibility Criteria 2025 

Candidates who are going to apply online for TS TET exam 2025 must check out the important points: 

• The candidates who are appearing for the final year of B.Ed OR Diploma in Elementary Education etc., are also eligible to appear for TS TET Examination.

• A Diploma/Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered. 

• Intermediate qualification of the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Telangana State or its equivalent as recognised by the BIE Telangana State only shall be considered.
