Step-by-Step Voting Process

1. Register Your Name

Before you can vote, ensure that your name is listed on the electoral roll. All Indian citizens who are 18 years old as of January 1 can register as voters in their respective constituencies. Registration can be completed through the Election Commission of India’s website.

2. Verify Your Name in the Voter List

Once registered, check if your name appears in the voters' list:

The Voting Process

• Visit the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).

• That will be reflected by a beep and a red light will light up next to the candidate's name.
• Check VVPAT
• After that, a VVPAT (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail) will show:
