Indian team: No.1 in Test
The Indian team performed quite well this year and completed the story that started last year. The 'men in blue' were at No.2 in ICC Test rankings in the end of 2008. So, under the wonderful captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian cricketers played excellent home as well as abroad to capture the longawaited dream of becoming No.1.Team won the Test series against New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka and reached to the No.1 ICC Test team on December 1. However there was a lack of consistency in winning performance in ODI matches. The team became No.1 in ODI rankings for a short period in September but the irregularity in show put it at No.2 in the end of 2009.
