Every year on May 3rd, the world celebrates World Press Freedom Day. This day serves as a critical reminder of the fundamental principles of press freedom and its crucial role in a healthy democracy.
A free press acts as a vital watchdog, holding powerful individuals and institutions accountable. It allows for the free flow of information, fosters public awareness, and promotes critical thinking. In a world grappling with misinformation and disinformation, a free press is essential for ensuring accurate and reliable information reaches the public.
