Terrorist activities hailing from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir have always been a reason for concern for the Indian Army but not anymore. Yes, the Indian Army proudly brings forward its robust attempt to combat terrorism through an operation titled "Operation Sarvashakti". The aim of the operation is to put an end to the terrorist activities backed by Pakistan in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The aim of the operation is to actually counteract the revival of terrorism by Pakistan, especially along the mountain ranges of Pir Panjal in the Union Territory. The terrorist groups from Pakistan have been attempting hard to resurge terrorism in the sector of Rajouri Poonch. The recent terrorist attacks have led over 20 soldiers to lose their lives.
The Operation
The operation incorporates counter-terrorist attempts from not one but actually, both sides of the Pir Panjal range. The simultaneous operations will be conducted by security forces such as the White Knight Corps and the Chinar Corps.
The operation will be a combined effort of the Special Operations Group, CRPF, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the aim will be to put an end to the revival of terrorism, specifically in the Rajouri Poonch sector.

The tiff between the two countries
The ever-tensed relations between the two countries, India and Pakistan are evident in almost every aspect of their connection. Pakistan is accused by India of supporting terrorist groups' operations against the country. These terrorist groups include the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The two terrorist groups have been involved in the terrorist attacks against India and its security forces. India alleges Pakistan of supporting these groups.
What made the tense relations between the India-Pakistan even worse was the Mumbai attacks of 2008. The terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba was held responsible for the terrorist attack. The group is based in Pakistan, and India accused Pakistan of supporting the terrorist group.
Similar attempts to flush out terrorism
It is not the first time that the Indian Army has chosen to stand against terrorism. Operation Sarpvinash, a similar project, also made robust attempts at eliminating terrorists in the area of the Pir Panjal range. The operation was launched in the year 2003.
