A petition has also been filed by the state government in the Supreme Court seeking more time to publish the results of arts and vocational studies exams. The CHSE has filed an application before the Supreme Court seeking some time beyond 31st July to declare error-free results. "Results of Arts and Vocational streams seem impossible to publish by 31.7.2021 as there are a combined number of 2,21,867 students in both the said streams," the CHSE said in their application before the apex court.
Last month, the Supreme Court had asked central and state boards to declare the results for class 12 exams by 31st July. Odisha government informed the Supreme Court that the marks secured by students in the class 10 exam are in the processing stage. Similarly, the practical marks and other marks of project components are in the processing stage. Thus, it will not be possible for the board to release the board result for Arts and Vocational stream by 31st July 2021.
