Delhi University launches ‘One DU’: The University of Delhi has launched a unique initiative called ‘One DU’ under which it has integrated all the e-learning resources offered by the varsity on a single platform. One DU platform will promote online education across teaching departments, colleges, centres, and other affiliated bodies. One DU to Generate and Disseminate e-Resources
According to the statement issued by the University administration, the One DU programme has been envisioned by the varsity as an initiative that will cater to the e-learning needs of the students, especiall in the current circumstances. Through this programme, the University will Generate and Disseminate e-Resources, as and when required. With the help of Delhi University Computer Centre (DUCC), the varsity plans to augment and streamline online education by providing the necessary resources to across teaching departments, colleges, centres, and other affiliated bodies.
Representation from Teaching and Non-Teaching Communities
With an aim to develop a holistic online learning platform, the varsity plans to involve both teaching as well as non-teaching communities as part of the development of One DU programme. For this, the varsity has formulated a ‘One DU Apex Committee’ which has members from departments, centres, colleges and DUCC. Such diverse representation will help incorporate multiple perspectives as part of One DU programme, from both, a pedagogical standpoint as well as technical efficiency of delivering them to the students through e-learning resources.
